I love creating objects with an understanding of the enjoyment and pleasure they have the potential to bring. I am particularly interested in the history and heritage of ceramic making and materials sourced in whatever place I am working in.

 

I have an MA in History from the University of Edinburgh, completed my potters apprenticeship in Abu Dhabi and have a MA in Museum Studies from the University of Leicester. My thinking and making are routed in this interdisciplinary understanding of heritage, material, object and meaning.

I established 'Raha Pottery' in Abu Dhabi 2014. Raha means peaceful in Arabic and I hope the pieces I make reflect this meaning as well as bringing joy.
