The North British Pottery has a unique export story...

Located on Dobbies Loan where Glasgow Caledonian University building’s now sit, was the much smaller but intriguing North British Pottery which was founded in 1861. It produced sanitary and general earthenwares which included transferware, spongeware as well as hand painted pieces and it was known for its highly decorated jugs.
